Managing Email alerts

This article discusses configuring and receiving email alerts in Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure, for a Cloud SIRIS device and its protected systems.

Description

Email alerts can be set on a per Cloud Device basis and are customizable in the Partner portal. To view the settings, navigate to the target Cloud SIRIS device:

  1. Log into the Partner Portal

  2. Click Status

  3. Click BCDR Status

  4. Scroll down to the target device or search for the device by name.

  5. Open the Settings Page of the Cloud SIRIS. This can be done two ways:

    • From the Device card, click the ellipsis menu for that device and select Settings from the drop-down menu.

    • Click the device's name to open the Device Overview Page, from there click the Settings button in the top right-hand corner of the page.

  6. Select Protected System Settings

Under the Alerts card the emails can be set to receive the alerts as well as individual alerts can be toggled on and off. Alerts are applied across all protected systems and emails can be removed as needed, or re-added.

The available email alert options include:

  • Protected System Added
  • Protected System Removed
  • Protected System Archived
  • Total Managed Disk Size Changed
  • Backup Failed
  • Backup Not Taken
  • Protected System Screenshot Verification Failure
  • Image Restore to Microsoft Azure Completed
