Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure
Description
The backup status for Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure devices has now been added to Datto's BCDR REST-API.
Adding Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure to the REST-API has been a highly requested feature. This allows technical partners to programmatically monitor their Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure devices the same way they monitor their hardware based fleets. You can now leverage your custom applications or third-party vendors to monitor both your hardware-based and Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure devices
Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure devices will now display the same fields as hardware-based BCDR devices through the single device and device list endpoints with a few differences.
Model name will display as ‘CLDSIRIS.’
- New fields have been added for Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure devices. These fields are nullified for other devices, and they include:
- totalManagedDisk,
- region: (location, provider)
- Fields not relevant to Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure devices are nullified, or a default value placed. These fields include:
- offsiteStorageUsed
- localStorageAvailable
- internalIP
- shareCount
- localStorageUsed
Billing and subscription information is not currently available for Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure devices but planned for future release.
Getting Started
You can now access Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure in the BCDR REST-API the same way that on-prem BCDR devices are accessed. See Using the Datto REST API With Datto device Integrations for more information
