Overview

You can no longer create new accounts in the legacy Endpoint Backup (v1) portal.

What you will see

When you try to create a new account in the legacy portal, the portal blocks account creation and displays the following message:

"You are on the legacy Endpoint Backup portal.
New accounts are created and managed in UniView, where you will find the full Endpoint Backup v2 experience, including your dashboard and endpoint management tools."

Why account creation is not available

Datto Endpoint Backup v2 is the current generation of the Endpoint Backup platform, and UniView is its management portal.
To ensure all new customers begin on the current platform, the legacy v1 portal no longer supports new account creation.
This change applies only to new account creation.
This change doesn't affect existing v1 accounts, and you can continue to manage them in the legacy portal.

How to get started with Datto Endpoint Backup v2

1. Check your inbox for an email from no-reply@backup.net with the subject "It's Ready: Your Next Gen Endpoint Backup Access."
   It contains the details you need to begin.
2. Log in to UniView at login.backup.net.
3. Review the Datto Endpoint Backup v2 Getting Started documentation for system requirements and setup guidance.
