Using Process Explorer
Topic
This article discusses the use of Windows Process Explorer to determine some causes of high CPU usage.
Background
Process Explorer is a Microsoft tool that works as an in-depth task manager. It can be used to determine if any processes on a machine are consuming too many resources. If the backups are running very slowly or if backups continue to time out, this tool may be used to help determine the cause.
