Opening a Rackmount Chassis

Scope

This article explains how to open a rackmount chassis, such as a SIRIS Professional or SIRIS Enterprise. You might need to do this if you are replacing a hard drive or upgrading a hardware component.

Removing an Array Drive

To remove an array drive, press the release tab (1), and then use the arm (2) to pull the drive tray straight out.

If you need to open the chassis to upgrade or replace a component, push down on both release buttons and slide the cover off, as shown in Figure 2.
