- Datto ALTO 4 (Optiplex 3080 Micro)
Description
The latest recommended firmware updates for your SIRIS 5 or ALTO 4 hardware can be downloaded at download.datto.com.
Where Datto has not tested a firmware update for compatibility with the Datto IRIS operating system, Datto cannot confirm if the firmware will work properly with the Datto Solution. For this reason, Datto strongly recommends that you only update your ALTO or SIRIS device with firmware versions recommended by Datto and that are downloaded directly from Datto at download.datto.com. Downloads that are not recommended by Datto may not be compatible with the Datto solution and may cause it to malfunction or become inoperable.
Products that currently support firmware updates
There are several types of updates that may be referred to as "firmware." This article primarily deals with BIOS updates. iDRAC updates may also be available for server models which support iDRAC and should be installed after any BIOS updates have been successfully installed.

How to verify your current firmware version
You should only run firmware updates when there is a newer version that is recommended by Datto. You can find the latest version on the Datto Partner Portal, or see SIRIS 5 and ALTO 4 Firmware Release Notes.
You can confirm your current firmware version by running the following commands from a CMD prompt on your Datto device. Take note of the current information so you can confirm if an update is required or has been completed.
dmidecode -s bios-version
dmidecode -s bios-release-date
