This article describes the Advanced Backup Verification feature on the BCDR Status page of the Datto Partner Portal

Description

Advanced Backup Verification is a suite of automated integrity checks that evaluate and report backup health. By leveraging Screenshot Verification, Local Verification, Application and Service Verification, and building in support for customer verification scripts, this feature aggregates a wide array of customizable health information about the integrity of your backups and reports it to both the Datto Partner Portal and the Manage Recovery Points page of your appliance GUI.

Viewing device status and Advanced Backup Verification

  1. In the Datto Partner Portal, click the Status tab, then select BCDR Status from the drop-down menu.

  1. Click the name of the device you want to view.

Viewing screenshots and scripts in Advanced Backup Verification

Hover over the Last Screenshot column to see the following information:

  • time of screenshot
  • the screenshot in its current state
  • verification of associated application functionality

Viewing the last ten backup status in Advanced Backup Verification

To view status for your last ten backups at a glance, check the Last 10 Backup Attempts column on the BCDR Status page.

Each colored symbol in this column represents a backup for the Datto device in that row. Mousing over the icons in the Datto appliance interface displays a detailed backup report for each snapshot.
