Error: "Portal based login is enabled for this device. In order to access this device, you must have a Datto Partner Portal account."
Issue
When you attempt to manage your Datto appliance via the LAN, you see the error message, "Portal based login is enabled for this device. In order to access this device, you must have a Datto Partner Portal account."
Environment

- Datto ALTO

Cause
Local access to the Datto Device GUI is disabled in your appliance's Global Device Settings, For security reasons, this is the default setting.
Resolution
1. Access your Datto appliance via Device Web in the Datto Partner Portal.
2. Enable appliance management via the LAN, from the Local Access Control card of your appliance's Global Device Settings page.
