Issue

Backups are failing on an agent or multiple agents. The agent logs display:

An error occurred while retrieving info: Failed to launch guestfs

Environment

• Datto SIRIS
• Datto ALTO
• Datto NAS

Cause

This error is usually caused by OS drive on the Datto appliance being full. This can be caused by minor issues such as incorrect log truncation. Datto Support will be needed to investigate the cause of the full OS as well as clear up space for normal operation to resume. Please contact Datto Technical Support for assistance with freeing space on the OS of your Datto appliance.
