Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure Image Export

This article describes how to perform an image export for Datto Backup for Microsoft Azure in the Partner Portal.
Environment

Description
The Image Export hosts a SFTP restore in the Datto Cloud of a recovery point that has been replicated to the cloud.
- Image Exports take place in the Datto Cloud, not in your Microsoft Azure environment.
- You can only perform Image Exports on recovery points that have replicated to the Datto Cloud.
- If you are restoring back to your Microsoft Azure environment, the Restoring an image to Microsoft Azure process is recommended.
Procedure
From the Partner Portal access the BCDR Status page from the Status Tab at the top of the page. Click on the side menu and choose the Recovery Launchpad option
Select Start Restore under Image Export.
Choose the agent and then click on the date to choose which recovery point you want for the restore. You will then need to Choose File Type (VHD/VHDX/VMDK). Select Export Image to start the restore.
You will then be brought back to the Recovery Launchpad page. Select the cloud under Download to see the SFTP information to download the restored image.
Deleting the Restore
When you are done with the restore select the trash can icon on the right side of the restore on the Recovery Launchpad page to remove your File Restore/Image Export
