Description

  • Releases may consist of Device updates, including the Datto Cloud software and portal updates.
  • For agent updates refer to: Windows Agent Release notes.
  • Datto pushes updates out on a rolling basis. You may not be updated immediately upon each new release. Update windows will vary, but are generally completed within one to two weeks of the initial release date.
  • When new releases become available, they are automatically pushed out and require no partner intervention unless otherwise noted.

Device Version 5.0.2 - 03-27-2025

  • This release contains major OS upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04.

Improvements

  • This release upgrades the Cloud Device from Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04.
  • Datto Endpoint Backup Bare Metal Restores (BMR) can now resize for drives equal in size or smaller than the original system, same as on-premises devices. Note, this new functionality requires datto-utilities version 7.5 or newer.

  • Published compatibility guidelines for the Datto Endpoint Backup for PCs Launch SFTP feature
  • Added an Agent ID field to the Datto Endpoint Backup Status page
  • Improved agent logging to improve the support experience for partners
  • Added the ability for Technical Support to intervene in cases where manually agent virtualizations require a non-default configuration

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved an issue which could prevent recovery points from being visible on the Datto Endpoint Backup Status page
  • Resolved an issue which could cause screenshot templates to remain in the cloud following removal of an agent dataset
