Release notes - 3.0.24.0 - 2024-12-06
dattobd version 0.11.8
Bug Fixes:
- Linux Agent Backups on Production: Fixed an issue where backups were not being created for Linux agents on Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04. Backups now function correctly for Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, and 22.04.
- Kernel Panic on Reboot with Specific Kernel Versions: Resolved an issue where systems running kernel version 5.15.0-94-generic (and related versions) experienced kernel panics during reboot after installing the latest Datto Linux Agent (DLAD). This fix ensures: Systems can now reboot gracefully without user intervention. Compatibility with Docker installations, preventing kernel panics on affected systems. Improved stability on Ubuntu 22.04, CentOS 7, and RHEL 8.9 with the specified kernel versions.
- Incremental Backup Fails to Capture Changes: Fixed an issue where incremental backups did not capture changes made after a full backup. This included scenarios where new files added or files deleted after the full backup were not reflected in the subsequent incremental backup.
Known Issues:
- Backup Resumability for Linux: Temporarily disabled for Linux DTC Agent (EBWDR) on Ubuntu 18, 20, 22.
- On some operating systems, a differential merge may be incorrectly triggered following a soft reboot or shutdown.
- A differential merge sometimes occurs after reboot due to an undersized COW file, leading to overflow.
- The Datto Partner Portal may occasionally display a failed screenshot verification, even though the backup was successfully created and virtualized correctly.
