Module: Endpoint Backup v2

QuestionAnswer
Why are temp and .ost files excluded from backups?By default, Microsoft automatically excludes certain files, such as .ost files, from being captured in Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshots.
These exclusions are defined and controlled by Microsoft as part of their system design, primarily to preserve system integrity and optimize storage by omitting temporary files and cached data from backups.
Endpoint Backup v2 adheres to these Microsoft-defined exclusions during its backup process.
