Datto Endpoint Backup: Status Page

This article explains how to manage backups and perform restores for production machines protected by the Datto Endpoint Backup agent.

Description
This article assumes that you have already installed the Endpoint Backup Agent on your protected machine and that the agent has begun taking backups. If you have not already done so, see the Getting Started with Datto Endpoint Backup article before proceeding.
Overview
All Endpoint Backup backups reside on Datto's cloud servers. Partners can manage them from the Endpoint Backup Status section of the Partner Portal. From this section of the Partner Portal, you can perform the following functions for your organizations:
- View the Endpoint Backup Agents in an environment
- Monitor backup status
- Perform a restore
To access the Endpoint Backup Status page, log into the Datto Partner Portal, and select Status > Endpoint Backup Status.
Show Overview: Toggles the visibility of the Overview pane. This includes both the Licenses Overview and Cloud Storage view.

Licenses Overview: Reports key information about subscription status; the information shown here is:
- Type: Itemizes the types of subscriptions available for your Datto Endpoint Backup account
- Purchased: Enumerates the number of licenses you have purchased for each subscription type
- Deployed: Lists the number of in-use licenses for each subscription type
- Available: Details how many licenses of each type are available out of the total purchased

Cloud Storage for Kaseya 365: Shows the amount of space used by Kaseya 365 endpoints in the datto cloud. If no Kaseya 365 licenses are present, then this will not appear. Going over the allotted storage capacity may lead to additional fees. Please reach out to your Account Manager with any questions.
Create RMM Template: Creates a template to generate a token for RMM use.
Install Agent: After selecting the option for installation, the link will provide you the documentation of the process to perform the action.
Register Agent: Manually starts the agent registration process to pair a new agent to the Datto Endpoint Backup portal.
NOTE Before beginning the registration process, you will need the Agent ID of the system you would like to register. See Datto Endpoint Backup: Agent overview for more information about finding the Agent ID. When starting the registration process, enter the Agent ID in the key field.
Organization and Agent Information: Displays backup status and offers management options for each registered organization and its associated protected systems. Click the arrow to the far left of the Organization listing to expand the organization and display individual agent information. The available information and options are:
Organization Information
- Organization Name: Reports the name of each protected organization. Clicking the name will load the Email Alert Settings interface, where you can manage the alerts and notifications for specific events related to the organization.
- Restore Icon: Launches the Recovery Launchpad for the selected organization, where you can start a Datto Endpoint Backup: File Restore or download the iso to perform a BMR.
- Agents: Lists the total number of agents associated with the organization and itemizes them by hostname.
- Protected Size Displays the total size of all volumes being backed up on the system(s) (this number reflects capacity, not the actual amount of data on the volumes).
- Unprotected Volumes Displays how many volumes are detected on the system(s) that are not being backed up. Volumes can be individually selected for backup. See Datto Endpoint Backup: Agent Settings for more information.
- Last Backup: Displays the amount of time elapsed since each agent performed a backup; Datto Endpoint Backup Agents back up every 2 hours.
- Last Ten Days: Indicates whether or not the agent performed a successful backup in the previous ten days; mousing over each circle will display the date it represents.
- Each circle represents a day.
- A circle that is half green and half orange indicates that at least one agent for the organization had a successful backup and at least one did not.
- A green circle indicates at least one successful backup for the day.
- An empty white circle indicates that no backup completed.
- Orange indicates that a backup was missed for one of the organization's agents'
Agent Information
- Agent Name: Place your cursor over the agent name for more detailed agent information. .
- Agent ID: Lists the unique identifier associated with each agent installation.
- Protected Size Displays the total size of all volumes being backed up on the system (this number reflects capacity, not the actual amount of data on the volumes).
- Unprotected Volumes Displays how many volumes are detected on the system that are not being backed up. Volumes can be individually selected for backup. See Datto Endpoint Backup: Agent Settings for more information.
- Last Backup: Displays the amount of time elapsed since the agent performed a backup; Datto Endpoint Backup Agents back up every 2 hours.
- Last Ten Days: Indicates whether or not the agent performed a successful backup in the previous ten days; mousing over each circle will display the date it represents.
- Agent Management Menu: Display this menu by clicking the ellipses on the far right of the listing. Enables you to perform the following actions with your Datto Endpoint Backup Agent:
- Pause Backups: Pauses backups for the specified interval.
- You can pause backups temporarily for 1, 2, 4, 8, or 24 hours, or you can pause them indefinitely.
- Manage Agent: Allows you to:
- Settings: Adjust bandwidth and throttling settings or which volumes are included in your backup.
- Start a Backup: sends a request to the endpoint to begin a backup.
- Force Diffmerge: forces the next backup to run as a differential merge.
- Delete agent: Remove the selected agent and all of its cloud backups; for more information about the agent deletion process, see our Removing an Agent article.
- This option only allows you to remove the entire agent and all of its backups.
- Pause Backups: Pauses backups for the specified interval.
