SIRIS 6-(12 through 36) specifications

This article provides the layout and hardware specifications for Datto's SIRIS 6-(12 through 36) devices.

Description

For information about determining the device model from the command line, refer to Updating SIRIS and ALTO firmware.

NOTE  Once the device is plugged in, it will perform a function test. As a part of this test, you will hear the fans power on briefly and you may see some lights flicker on the device as well. This is normal behavior but is NOT an indication that the device has been powered on. In order for the device to properly power on, you will need to press the power button.

NOTE  *For S6-24 and S6-36 The SLOG drive is moved to the drive bay marked 7 and the OS is moved internally. The identifying sticker will correspond to the drive size.

LED Behavior

• Power LED: The indicator represents the power state of the device.

  • Power on: Illuminated
  • Power off: Dark (the LED is off)

• Unit Identifier (UID) LED: The indicator will glow when the unit identification button is pressed.

• Hard Drive Disk (HDD) LED: The indicator will flash amber during any HDD's read/write operation.

• LAN LED: There are two LEDs for each onboard Ethernet interface, and each LED will respectively flash green during network traffic transmission.
