Description

The software stack on Datto appliances is named IRIS. Release notes for this software stack appear here, ordered from the most recent release to the oldest.

Datto pushes IRIS updates out to devices on a rolling basis. Your device may not be updated immediately upon each new release. Update windows will vary, but are generally completed within one to two weeks of the initial release date.

Datto IRIS 4.38.2 - 2024-11-04

  • Added ability to view recent agent logs via the Endpoint Backup Status Page.
  • Several New pages were transitioned to New appearance (Agentless , Agent Logs, Access Denied).

Improvements

  • Usability was improved on Manage recovery points and Synchronize pages.
  • Navigation was unified on File Share and Protect pages.
  • Reliability of screenshot verification was improved on modern Windows OS versions.
  • Performance improvements of IRIS OS.
  • The retention configuration UI has been redesigned to enhance clarity and usability.
  • Cloud retention settings from agent templates are now ignored to prevent retention configuration corruption.
  • If the cloud retention configuration is inconsistent, we attempt to repair it by adjusting one parameter. If possible, retention runs with the adjusted settings. If unrepairable, retention will not be performed.
  • All changes to retention settings are non-persistent, allowing the algorithm to be modified in future releases.

Bug Fixes

  • Numerous bugfixes across OnPrem Device’s new UI.
  • Resolved an issue where screenshots appeared to fail even when they were successfully captured.
